Dr. Marcus Button

Dr. Marcus Button received his medical degree from the University of Colorado after graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Northern Colorado in Chemistry. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has been practicing for nearly 18 years. Dr. Button loves seeing patients and facilitating provider-patient relationships. In his free time, Dr. Button enjoys attending Bible Studies, spending time with his family, investing and keeping up with his interest in automobiles.

Darlene McPhee, FNP

Darlene is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor and achieved her graduate degree as a Nurse Practitioner at the Deaconess School of Nursing in Spokane, Washington. Darlene puts emphasis on treating people with dignity as she cares for people helping them deal with illness. She loves working at Button Family Practice because of all the different fields of medicine she deals with on a daily basis. Darlene enjoys gardening and building projects when she is not at work.

Brytani White, PA-C

Brytani is a board-certified Physician Assistant. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Spanish from Colorado State University and achieved her graduate degree as a Physician Assistant at Rocky Vista University in Parker, Colorado. Brytani loves working in medicine as it allows her to combine her interest in science with her desire to help and make a positive impact in the lives of others. She enjoys building relationships with her patients to help improve their health. Outside of the office, Brytani enjoys reading, spending time with family, cheering on the Colorado Avalanche and playing soccer.

Kathleen Kopacz, FNP

Kathleen graduated from Beth-EL College of Nursing in 1994. She has worked as an RN for 27 years in various areas of medicine including Emergency Room, Adult Intensive Care, Labor & Delivery as well as on the Critical Transport Team.
In 2022, she reached her goal and became a Nurse Practitioner. She enjoys small town communities and looks forward to providing the residents of Canon City and surrounding area with the best care possible.
Kathy is married and has 1 adult son. She enjoys paddle boarding and hiking with her dog.

Tabitha Lane, PA-C

Tabitha is a board-certified Physician Assistant. She has a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Pace University, PA certification from Red Rocks PA program, and a Bachelor of Nursing from Regis University. She has been a PA for 16 years with specialties in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Primary Care, Urogynecology, and Urgent Care. She previously served as a PA in the Colorado National Guard for 12 years with a specialty in Combat Trauma Medicine with deployments to the Middle East. Tabitha puts her heart and soul into Medicine and her patients’. Her goal is to aid patients in achieving their best quality of life, through disorder/disease diagnosis, education, and varied treatment modalities. She takes a non-biased, non-judgmental approach and tries to empower each patient to take control of their own health. Outside of the office, Tabitha enjoys sewing, cross-fit, sci-Fi movies, and spending time with her husband and adult children.

Kristy Blood, FNP

Kristy is an AANP board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University and achieved her Graduate Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at South University. Kristy focuses her care on quality of life not just longevity. Kristy was born and raised in Colorado and has recently returned to Colorado to be closer to Family. She is excited to be at Button Family Practice to work with the people of this community. Kristy enjoys going to concerts and musicals as well as camping, hiking and fishing when she is not at work.
